Recovery and reset
F&Home servers provide procedures for recovering access to the Admin account, restoring automatic DHCP network configuration, or restoring factory settings.
Choose the procedure that matches your situation:
| Procedure | When to use it | Required access | Project and configuration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Recovering access to the Admin account | You have forgotten the Admin password. | RESET button and local web panel. | Preserved; you change the Admin password. |
| Restoring DHCP | Static network settings make connecting to the server difficult or impossible. | RESET button. | Preserved; static IPv4 settings are removed. |
| Factory settings — mH-Developer | You want to delete the server's data using the RESET button and display menu. | Physical access to mH-Developer. | Deleted. |
| Factory settings — web panel | You want to delete the server's data through the web panel. | Local web panel and current Admin account credentials. | Deleted. |
Password and network connection problems
If you have forgotten the Admin password and cannot connect to the server because of its network settings:
- Restore DHCP configuration.
- Find the server's IP address.
- Perform the separate procedure for recovering access to the Admin account.
Both procedures preserve the automation project, device configuration, and other user accounts.
Before restoring factory settings
Restoring factory settings deletes the project, user accounts, and server configuration, including network settings and cloud associations.
If you want to be able to restore the configuration, create a backup before starting and save it outside the server.
